The SSC CGL examination is regarded as one of the most prestigious and competitive recruitment tests in the country. It is conducted every year to recruit eligible graduates for Group B and Group C positions in various ministries, departments, and government offices under the Government of India.

More Than 1.3 Lakh Candidates Clear Tier I

As per the official statement issued by the commission, over 1.3 lakh candidates have successfully qualified the Tier I examination. These shortlisted candidates are now eligible to appear for the Tier II examination, which is the next crucial stage of the selection process.

Post-wise Qualification Details

Along with the result, SSC has also shared a detailed breakdown of candidates shortlisted for specific posts:

  • 6,196 candidates have qualified for Tier II for the post of Junior Statistical Officer (JSO)
  • 2,781 candidates have been shortlisted for Statistical Investigator Grade II
  • 1,30,418 candidates have cleared Tier I for other SSC CGL posts 

Candidates qualifying under these categories will now compete further for final selection.

Results Withheld and Candidature Rejected

The commission has informed that the results of 49 candidates have been kept on hold due to reasons such as ongoing legal matters, court cases, or administrative concerns.

Additionally, the results of five candidates were not considered, as their candidature was either cancelled, rejected, or they were barred from appearing in SSC examinations.

Mark Normalisation Process

Since the SSC CGL Tier I exam was conducted in multiple shifts, the commission followed a normalisation procedure to maintain fairness in evaluation. The scores were adjusted according to SSC’s prescribed formula to ensure that candidates were not affected by variations in difficulty levels across different shifts.

Shortlisting for Tier II has been done strictly on the basis of category-wise normalised marks.

SSC CGL Tier II Exam Date 2025

The Tier II examination is expected to be conducted in the third week of January 2026. The commission will soon release the detailed schedule, exam city intimation, and admit cards on the official website.

Candidates are advised to keep visiting the SSC portal regularly for the latest updates.

  • Tier I Examination: September 12 to September 26, 2025
  • Re-Examination: October 14, 2025 (for candidates who faced technical issues)
  • Result Declaration: December 18, 2025
